Meet the Vettec Rep - Kris Kibbey
Kris Kibbey is one of our "newer" Vettec reps... meaning that he hasn't been working here for decades... yet!! We hope you enjoy getting to know him a bit better.
"Hi there, I'm Kris Kibbey!
I was born in Fairbanks Alaska where I lived for about 10 years before moving to central New York where I became involved in the horse world. During my high school years I spent most of my weekends at horse shows around the Northeast and Midwest showing in AQHA and NRHA events, and in 2001 we had a AQHA world champion. I attended college in Texas studying equine business. I also attended the Cornell Farrier program taught by Mike Wildenstein. After graduating from the Cornell program I returned to school and graduated with a BS on marketing. During my free time I worked for a local Farrier in the Central New York area.
When I started looking for a full time position, I found an ad for a sales rep position for Vettec. This job seemed ideal for me so I applied and was hired about 6 years ago. It has been a great fit for me and I've enjoyed working in my territory and with our dealers and customers. My territory covers the North Eastern states from Kentucky to Maine as well as the Eastern Canadian Provinces.
In addition to working for Vettec I spend my free time doing endurance sports. In 2012 I completed 4 marathons with my fastest time being 3 hours and 48 minutes I also completed 2 half marathons and one century (a 100 mile bike ride.) This year I am entered in 4 more marathons and someday hope to complete a full Ironman. I currently live in Columbus OH but spend most of my time traveling around the northeast for Vettec."
